I started my weight loss journey in May 2007 after having reached a point of being very unhealthy, overweight and out of shape.
I have had weight issues my entire life but for the most part in my late teens and 20s maintained a relatively healthy weight. I was conscious of my food intake and was an active guy.
My 30s however were a different story. I started not watching what I ate, not exercising often enough/at all and my metabolism slowed.
It reached a head in 2007. By May I was motivated enough to want to change my behavior. I began working out and with the help of a trainer and nutritionist have lost 77lbs up to this point.
I now am working out 3x a week with a trainer (weight training) and 1-2x a week doing cardio. And am continuing to work with a nutritionist to help me make better food choices.
Although I feel great, I am not where I want to be. My goal is to get down to 210lbs, so I have another 23lbs to go. I'm pretty much in it for the long haul, so however long it takes to lose the 23lbs, it takes.
